Polished Arrow

Matthew 6:3-4

3 When you help someone out, don't think about how it looks. 4 Just do it - quietly and unobtrusively. That is the way your God, who conceived you in love, working behind the scenes, helps you out.

The Message

Polished Arrow has no paid salaried positions, so volunteers are very important to us. There are many things you can do as a volunteer with Polished Arrow.

Pow Wows and Outreaches

We need volunteers at Pow Wows who are willing to help with the booth and/or to help with setup and tear down. Setup includes activities such as unloading the van at the pow wow site, setting up a canopy tent and tables, and setting out the resources and displays on each table. Tear down includes packing up the resources, taking down the tables and tent, and loading them back into the van. These activities can occur on Friday, early Saturday and Sunday morning, and around 5 or 6 pm on Sunday evening. We also need volunteers who will help us anytime during the day to pray with, talk to, or just listen to those who stop in at our booth during the weekend.

Our outreaches include California tours through California with worship teams like Broken Walls, Cheryl Bear, or Michael Jacobs. Volunteers to help with equipment setup and/or tear down or watching merchandise tables for the artists. Special skills with sound equipment are sometimes needed. Preparing meals for our visiting artists is always appreciated. These tours may be in and around greater Los Angeles, but may also travel north or south depending on the prisons, schools, and churches that host the artists.

Missions Programs

If your church has a missions program, you might volunteer to meet with your church board to request they consider sponsoring Polished Arrow with a monthly pledge. We are happy to accompany you and present information about our ministry as needed.
